Mike Tramp | Frankies Patio | Tampa FL | April 19,2000 |

(W/Kenny McGee)

Wednesday April 19th,was the first time I had ever met Mike ..

and I was a little nervous to say the least,

and on top of it I would be interviewing him...

so when I got to Frankie's Patio earlier that day I hung out while they did sound check...

Then it was time for the interview...which was by far the best one I've done yet..

it was very long and filled w/info!  We ended up hanging out for a few hrs. and talked about music and just about anything and everything.. I also got some shots of him w/this great Vette....

Now it was time for the show.. Kenny McGee (formally of Julliet)

opened the show w/a great set of some great new songs..and some great oldies but goodies!

then out came Mike Tramp! He opened w/"Little Fighter" which smoked!

This was also a warm up gig for the tour that would be leaving in a few days,

and he had to make sure his guys were in top form... I think it sounded great!

He played about half and half old White Lion.. songs like "Broken Heart" "Tell Me" "Broken Home"

"Wait" "When the Children Cry" etc.. but these songs were don't the Tramp way

..not the White Lion way.. which fit the show just right.. then went on to play alot from "Capricorn"

..like: "Have You Ever" "Had I Not Complained" "Better Off" ..etc...it was all in all a great show...

nothing like the flash and glam of the 80's ..just straight ahead loud guitars...rock n roll...

After the great show, Mike came out and hung out with all his fans..and signed stuff for everyone..he is a great guy, very friendly to everyone he meets..

That was the end of day one w/Mike.. little did I know what was in store for the next few days...

Mike had asked if we could hook up Friday and hang out for the day while his band went to Busch Gardens...

so it was set up.. Id see him again on Friday..
