Judas Priest | Redeemer of Souls
Review-This is the first music to come from Judas Priest since founding member, K. K. Downing has left the group. He's been replaced (and I mean that lightly as K. K. can not be replaced), by guitarist Richie Faulkner. At a full 18 tracks, this is a lot of new music and would be worth the purchase. Richie does a great job at filling out the band with a sound that is similar to previous Priest, but falls a little short of K. K.'s place in the group. The disc overall is a good strong metal offering. You will hear some fantastic riffs, Rob Halford's scream of vengeance, and the sound you expect from Priest. I liked it. I didn't love it. The songs were strong, but just missed that little something that they normally bring to the table to make it great Priest. If you're a huge fan, you will probably love it. If you like all the classic songs and are looking for the same thing hear, then you may be disappointed. A strong metal disc, but will never be a classic.
