Don Dokken | Solitary

 

Review:

Well this was certainly not what I expected .. Ive always been a fan of Don's .. All the Dokken cds.. Even when they totally changed their sound.. Hmm.. But this.. Is ummm… Mellow, that’s about the only word I can think of for it.. I literally can't tell when the song changes to the next one, cause  they are basically all the same tempo… Mellow. At times I feel as though he is reading, a story.. Man I really wanted to LOVE this .. Maybe I should look into the story behind this release.. Is there a reason its so mellow.. And I mean MELLOW.. Not even like power ballad.. I mean like elevator music … Don’t get me wrong.. It's musically a great cd.. But just not what fans are going to expect from him.

 

If you’re a long time fan, give it a try.. We have all grown and cant always be Rockin W Dokken.. If you’re a new fan, this is just another spectrum of the ever talented Don Dokken.
